About
Bruce Marsland is the author and editor of several works on language teaching, most notably 'Lessons from Nothing,' published by Cambridge University Press. He holds a Master's degree in applied linguistics from the University of Edinburgh. Born and raised in the United Kingdom, he has also worked in Finland, Bulgaria, and the United States. He currently lives in San Diego, California, doing business as an editor and writer.
His poetry has appeared in Sixfold and Smoky Blue Literary and Arts Magazine, among others. He has performed at ‘Poetry & Jazz’ in Helsinki, Finland. He was winner of the Sentinel Literary Quarterly poetry competition in February 2016, a runner-up in the Prole Laureate poetry competition in 2018, and shortlisted for the Hammond House international literary prize in 2017 and 2020.
